The New Trivia Game

i have to apoligize you could not get the answer loaf cause i messed up the question. I was thinking of the Mitchell Hammock and the Oregon. But as you know they were send as escorts for the Claw and not seperatly to look for the Olympus. I wrote the question at work far away from my copy of pilgrim stars. I should have waited to check before asking it. again my apoligizes.

Oh, okay, good, I thought I had missed something. The Oregon and the Mitchell Hammock were my first thought, too... but they actually survive the novel (Tolwyn leaves them at Netheranya).

Trivia question: During the Enigma Campaign the Kilrathi launched an offensive which included attacks on the Fiddler's Green and Niffleheim systems. What other two systems could be involved?

Prometheus Unplugged

(On a continued Priv kick)

What was the name of the Kilrathi admiral that arranged for the Church of Man to acquire Salthis?

The TCS Amadeus . . . Who was the first Confed pilot in escort of the Amadeus convoy to buy the farm (I'll take either the game or the novel pilot)?

C-ya

Moose! [D'oh, it was actually Primate. Moose was the one to kick the bucket in Peleus.]

Uh, question... uh... I'm sorry. :(

[I know! To which system does Admiral Blair order the Black Lance to?]

That's ok.

uh...Axius

Here's an easy one: who knows more about WC then probably even the creator(must be his/her full real name).

Iceblade seems to have a serious bill to settle with someone.... - so the obvious answer is:
Jesus Christ!

[Regard this a a nonanswer. Or tell me the name of the original owner of Mr. Kat.]

I would argue that the novel's prologue is simply a different attack rather than an attempt to tell the story of the Wing Commander IV introoduction. It has different ships and different characters -- the only connection is that both attacks were in the Nephele System (which, of course, makes sense if that's where Seether's group is preying on shipping).

Anyway, in either case, the 'novel' answer to the transport question would be the Ashiri Maru, the Elgin Dailey and the Red's Gamble... and the answer to the pilot question would be "Tiger" (first name Marlena, last name unknown).

[I know! To which system does Admiral Blair order the Black Lance to?]

The Logo System.

Christopher X. Reid

[Regard this a a nonanswer. Or tell me the name of the original owner of Mr. Kat.]

First name Graham, last name unknown.

Next question: Name the four named NPC wingmen who appear in Wing Commander Armada.

Heh, I still have my list on this saved for Sunnie, dated at least 2003-11-01, but oh well...

Confederation: LiteSpeed and Quarters

Kilrathi: Danthrax and Kar-Pak

Uh... I'm terrible at asking questions... Let's see if anyone knows the name of the Admiral who issues orders to the TCS Lexington (Armada) while on deep-space duty. Um, anyone besides LOAF, that is?

Admiral Hancock, in the Teragon system, Mission 7.

Question: What one gun is unique to the original Privateer game, and does not show up anywhere else in the Wing Commander series?

Ionic Pulse Cannon

The Ionic Pulse Cannon also appears in Wing Commander Armada.

The answer is probably more obvious: the Steltek Gun appears only in Privateer -- although it also appears in Righteous Fire (and then if you include Righteous Fire as part of Privateer, then the Fusion Cannon also fits the question's requirement.)

What was the name of Captain Seelig's ship?

Hooded Hawk.

Question: What two names havee been used to refer to Prince Thrakhath's father?

That is correct - the Ionic Pulse Cannon appears in Armada (I checked that before posting the question), but the Steltek Gun appears only in one game. I would've also accepted Fusion Gun, but the Steltek Gun was the only example of its kind in the series - especially since we could probably assume that, if civilians could buy fusion guns, that they were pretty common. :D

The Steltek Gun wasn't actually one of its kind, though - the Steltek ships have a bunch in Privateer, and then the Retros equip ships with them in Righteous Fire.

True. It's still the only gun from Privateer that doesn't appear in any other game. If you include Righteous Fire, you can include the Fusion Gun in that category as well.

And I'm still struggling over that last question. :D

Going to go with Grand Admiral and Gilkrag...although I'm not sure if the second is what you are looking for LOAF....

To realiven the trivia thread, the correct alternate name was "Thrakra", from the Secret Missions Fighting Ships Update published in CGW. Somebody other than LOAf ask a question.
