'Intruder'? It's definitely the same thing, but it's the first time I've heard of it going by that name. Very curious...

The Polls

Dang looking at those polls Fleet Action and End Run certainly are taking the cake. I know that those two are definately my favorites. Too bad they didn't actually go into depth about the Vukar Tag battle like they went into depth about the battle of Earth. Can we say Novel sequel possibility? I can only hope.:)

Mmmhh... but how come End Run in particular was associated with this 'collectors stigma'??

On a side note, I just won an auction that will get me the last book I'm missing for my collection, Action Stattions. Yay!! :)

Collectors stigmatise odd things -- KS is a horrible port and everybody pays a mint for it (despite there being plenty go to around)... End Run is readily available if you bother to go to a used bookstore... but things like Baen specifically mentioning it as hard to find at their website makes people panic.

Christopher Stasheff

Anyone have any way to contact the Author Christopher Stasheff? I would really love to write him a letter expressing my love for his books and to enquire about his future writings in the Wing Commander genre, if any. Anyone know his address...or a way to contact him?

Ehh... the only WC thing he wrote was Milk Run <G> I'd write to him c/o Baen.

Damn I meant ... Anyone have any way to contact the Author William R. Forstchen? I would really love to write him a letter expressing my love for his books and to enquire about his future writings in the Wing Commander genre, if any. Anyone know his address...or a way to contact him?

... but he's stated that he's not interested in doing more WC.

If I may, I'd like to mention he also wrote a Magic the Gathering novel, Arena... :) We talked about Magic a while ago, and especially now with the beta-test phase of Magic Online, I wanted to bring this up... Thanks for your attention... :D

Eh... not so long ago, I got a whole card box off eBay for the WC CCG cards... for 24.99 UK pounds (approx. $35.89 US). 36 boosters packs!! Still haven't opened it yet 'cause I made them ship to France... :)
A nice surprise is waiting for me back home... :D

I lived in France... for 10 years. Now I study in Montreal (Canada). My family's still in Paris though... :)

Montreal is a wreid place. the natives don't like Americans. it was an odd feeling hearing people jibber in paris talk, and not understanding them.
