Did any of you guys see Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation.
I watched it and had mixed feelings, not many bugs since special effects were expensive, and the guns were dumb, again $$$$ considerations (The original broke records I think for rounds fired, or at least fired alot of them).
It had an ALIENS/Invasion of the Body Snatchers feel to it. It wasn't all that bad for a direct to video movie.
I never quite understood why people didn't like the movie, I read the book and wasn't that impressed, but I never was a big fan of pre-70s sci-fi. Even though Dizzy was a man, Ace was an older sergeant, Radcheck wasn't his teacher, and his dad doesn't die in Buenos Aires, he joines MI and serves under his son. The book was written in 1st person, and was alot like All Quiet on the Western front, describing very little action and telling you about it like a journal.
Well I just wanted to see if you guys saw it.
They didn't have the original music though, that was my favorite part of the original movie Basil Poleudaris (or something like that), composed it, he also did one of my other favorite movie soundtracks Conan the Barbarian, and Conan the Destroyer. He also did Robocop and Hot Shots (lol!!), I can't remember what else he has done off the top of my head.
