standoff help

Hi, I've installed standoff etc and i have made sure my secret ops runs, but when I run standoff it says fatal error occured and then it just closes.
PLease can anybody help me with this?

What are your system specs? What version of Windows are you using? Have you tried setting different options in the launcher (like 16-bit, a lower resolution, with the anti-sound-skip patch turned off)?

All I know about my system specs is that it's on XP/SP2. Is there anyway to find the full details out?

So you had to set compatibility mode for Secret Ops to run, correct?

Make sure you've also done that for standoff.exe (find that file in your SO folder, right click it, click properties, go to the compatibility tab, check the "run this program in compatibility mode" box and select Win 95 or Win 98 from the list).

Other than that, try choosing 16-bit instead of 32-bit in the launcher, depending on your video card that might help.
