Space Shooter First Look: Novastrike (June 19, 2008)

Novastrike, a new arcade space shooter, has been released for the PlayStation Network (that system's equivalent of Xbox Live Arcade). Wired even compares it to Wing Commander: "Turns out this rail shooter is a lot of fun, and looks great. It certainly comes off as a pretty HD-era Wing Commander -- minus the Kilrathi scum -- but with more of an arcade feel." Here's what it looks like:

It is nothing like Wing Commander, but I do hope the game does well as the developer also has a rts for the psp that they need a publisher for.

This game reminds me of an aerial version of Metal Marines.

I love how they tried to relate it to Wing Commander, when it's clearly a 3D version of Zone 66.
