The only real similarity between them is that they both have a hull with prongs sticking out from it. I personally do not see any further similarities, and judging from the fact that nobody has been willing to step forward and list such similarities, I think that the allegations of plagiarism are utterly baseless.
 
Actually, that particular ship seems to remind me more of the Shivan vessels at the end of FS2 than the Tiamat.

Although it does confuse me that you'd bother defending X, since it really doesn't matter. I mean, X sucks hard.
 
I don't think so much that it's a defence of X as it is making a point that that particular ship is probably a relatively original design.
 
X-BTF blew. Plain and simple. Lucky I got it on a bargain rack or I'd be really ticked. But then, the fact that it was on the bargain rack in the first place should have told me something...:rolleyes:

The Sathanas?
Don't see it, myself. The only point of similarity is still the prongs, and the Sathanas only has four of them. The hulls are quite different, as the Sathanas has a segmented hull with a slight upward curve, while the thing in the picture appears to have a large ovoid or sphere.
So I still say it has a stronger resemblence to the Tiamat.

Eh, I've never even seen X, so I'm not defending it :). It just annoys me when people baselessly claim that something was stolen from WC.
 
It annoys me when someone thinks he has something important to say when he actually doesn't and then adds a smiley face in the middle of it.
