Slowing down the simulator and mission in WC1

I bought Wing Commander for the PC, the original version. I am running it o na 98 amchine and I am using Turbo to slow down the game. It works fine on the talking scens and so forth, but the flight sim and actual missions are too fast still. Is there any way to amek this normal liek the other parts of the game? I am running on an AMD 2000+ cpu with a nVidia MX 440 128 DDR graphics card and 256megs of RAM. Short of gettign an older system is there anything that anyoen knows of to slow it down to 486 speed across the board?

I'd strongly suggest to
a) make a DOS bootdisk
b) use moslo
c) disable the internal and external cache of your PC in the BISO (don't forget to turn it on again before booting Windows or you'll wait 20 mins for it to come up however)
