shield shapes

is there any way to make shields a shape other than completely round. kind of inconvienent for long thin ships

also, i just extracted the objects.tre from wc4, and i was wondering if anyone has an idea of which meshes are where. especially looking for like the Lexington and Intrepid and such.

You can use Windows' Find tool to search for files containing the text 'lexn' or 'intr' or something similar.

how does one go about making cap-ship style sheilds, such as on the barracuda or wc4 transport created by thomas bruckner?

hey there. same old snuzzleduck, slightly different name due to a snafoo on the chat zone. anyhow, i was wondering if anyone had a copy of the ship file for a cap-ship in some sort of text form that could be compiled into a working ship.iff
the iffe seams to distort it somehow, makes it unusable.

Just do what its in the file i sent you, and here is what you put in the mesh:
