Sheffield Class Destroyer

Indeed, which are, in-turn, named after the actual locations. :p

Hence "step further from the actual locations" in my post.

A great pity about both ships. The WC3 Sheffield and Coventry survive the war, don't they? Or are they destroyed in the later missions of the final campaign to destroy Kilrah?

I think both survive (as far as we know). Coventry was badly damaged at Loki, though.

The Victory's other escort, Ajax, was destroyed.

Used 3dsMax 9 with photoshop cs 2 for the textures (and the tech paper shown here) Was planning to make a excalibur as well. But that is something I need to think about for the moment, some kind of art thing I suppose.

But thanks for the comments people.

Looks great - these really have a unique style to them that kind of enhances the idea that they're the WC3 ships. It's hard to explain, but I'd love to see a fighter.

The Tallahassee should say half-squadron instead of half-wing.

So much eyecandy... ~~~, any chance of expanding the schematics to the other WCIII/IV capships? Those sure look awesome :D

F103 Excalibur

It's still a work in progress and haven't had much time to work on it but thought lets post it anyway. The model was relative easy but the texturing will take some more time so this is still a early work with a quick bump and light map over it.

If you post a big 1280x1024 render of your exalibur, you'll probably be ChrisReid's favorite forum member for a long time! :D

Excalibur F103

Was first planning to make a new post but here it fits more nicely.
The finished F103 Excalibur (800*600 larger can be debated) tech sheet. Like how it worked out with many small details and readable texts :)
TechSchematic.jpg

Was at first planning to draw a condor or eagle on it but like the trojan helmet I found as well so here goes.

Don't know about warpaints though most WC fighters appear to be green or like this one with checker markings and grey color scheme. Would be perhaps to see it in digital or foilage camouflage but thing that is not very space like :) Maybe something for a spec ops mission.

PS with relative easy I mean that it doesn't sport heavy polygon details although the guns have some more though.

There's also a Tallahassee-class TCS Agincourt, in the WC:CCG. Here's the card: http://ccg.jetlag.us/v/All/c-mo-tcs-agi.jpg.html

Don't worry about it - I just like to get it on record that these names aren't canonical, just in case we do get an official name someday. Which could happen sooner than we think.

Yeah, there are so many different classes and types of ships that have borne the same name over the years that a singular name to a different class ship doesn't really mean much. Even if it's not canonical, I think you're right on the point there...it'll happen someday with one ship, and in the meantime, we can speculate with a bunch of different ships that way.

...and hopefully that made sense. :)
