Seperated at Birth?

LAUNCH FIGHTERS!!!

Wow...I remember the map too...It was nessessary to keep it since it was the "Product Protection". You had to name a planet in such-and-such a spot on the map...the map was about two times the size of the Prophecy Map and the font and planet sizes about a third of that...

Incidently, the Chenjesu joined with the Mmhrmrhmm, hose X-form I posted...they became the Chmmr, but were bifurcated by the Daktaklakpak...or something like that...:D

Here's something that vaguely resembles a Drakhri...if you squint...I had much better examples, but I lost them. -sigh-

Yes, and the Ur-Quan dreadnought resembles the carrier from Battlestar Galactica... :)

But that's not WC related, so I shall stop here...

Yet, I wonder if Chris Roberts was not influenced, among Star Wars and Das Boot (for the movie) by the famous 80's series... which was quite a neat series (along with the movie releases)...

The Cylons were cool!

LOAF: I can't see the resemblence between a Drakhri and a Razor.

Wah! I was gonna say that!

But seriously...I have something for you...

Interesting quote...what does it mean?

Either way, it's safe to say Star Wars influenced Chris. :) After all, it was inspired by WWII, and the Pacific war was no doubt a major factor on Wing Commander.

Ah ok, now I see...

It's true that the Cylon fighters have a bit of a Drakhri (more than Dralthi) shape... and the Razor does have the looks of a Galactica human fighter...

But when I said "The Cylons were cool" I meant the shiny "robots" themselves, with the red light blinking from right to left... not the fighters... :)

That electric head guy was cool.

I would say that the Cylon fighters (rounded as they are) were more like the WC1 Dralthi.

Mmmmhh... but I thought that because of their sort of "cup" shape, they would look more like Drakhris...

Check out the "Cylon Raider" pic:

This one looks like a Cylon fighter, but apparently it's not.
It's very beautiful though:

As for a cool Cylon pic:

Although I'm currently on extended leave from the CZ, I returned for a sec 'cause I luv you all so much. :D

1. Download Timewarp, full version (use link at http://www.star-control.com ). See flyable Confed Hornet. Fly Dralthi-looking thingy.

2. While I'm currently compiling weap stats from all over the web (no, I'm not bored, just have no life :)), I got a WC missile chart at http://www.geocities.com/bob_mcdob/weap.doc . Hope LOAF doesn't mind that I have his gun chart there ^_^.

And 3. I redid the Concordia model (yet again) and calledd it the Aura Lee. Then I rotated the model and added a background. I'm hoping to post it along with the .dat files for the LEGO models.

Heh. Like Bob, I've been away for a while, but now I'm back. And I have some great news....I now work for Confed. :D

Seriously, I just took a new job in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, which is Doomsday's hometown. As if that wasn't enough for a Wingnut, the pharmacy I work at is called The Chemist Shop Hastings, which is usually referred in staff memos as, wait for it......the TCS Hastings!

Best, Raptor

Those acronyms will get you no matter what. :) My brother's school has some regular sports thing referred to as CIS.

Heh. Well, I had very good real reasons for taking the job (mainly good money, sunny climate and training opportunites.) I just took the WC coincidences as a sign from Sivar that I had made the right choice. :D
