I have two questions: First, is it possible to mount a tractor beam on a rear turret? And second, once you've dropped your shields to 2/3 power, how do you get them back to full power? Thanks.

(1) Tractor beams come with the turret, get the turret patch for that (look down in the forum a bit)
(2) Hit whichever key you hit to reduce shields to allow them to regenerate. They will not regenerate instantly tho.

The shield switch I use is "S".

Then just hit S again and wait a bit, because your shields have to rebuild themselves just as if you got hit

I don't remember what I did with the turret patch, but this takes care of the issue and also gets you the Home Away From Home (i.e. properly dockable drayman) feature. See "dockable drayman" post for explanation.
