when running wing commander 4 demo, the mouse cursios moves off the screen by itself in the first screen so i can't click anything. Prophecy also did this sometimes, then sorted itself out somehow. Any ideas?
Sounds like an uncalibrated joystick. There's lots you can try to address that. Calibrate the joystick, get rid of the joystick, turn off the joystick from within the game, etc.
