Problem with Kaydence missions (spoilers?)

On the mission to escort the Senator, agreeing to do so starts some kind of... music. When I head to my ship, I'm stopped by some kind of cutscene titled "Message from Insurgency"

Problem is, nothing happens. No text, nothing.

I get the feeling I'm missing something really cool, what with the music and the recycled cutscene and everything.
 
That's weird!
Didn't happen to me... never heard from any insurgency ...unless my memory of it got wiped-out... (which is quite possible).
