Privateer Question.

What is the best way to run privateer on a WIn98 computer? Through DOSbox, in pure DOS, or with myjemm?

I ask this because I have just gotten the game, but am not sure how to run it correctly. running through windows without myjemm is useless...
 
Easiest answer: Whatever works for you...
Obviously nothing can beat dos besides real dos when it comes to absolute compatibility. But depending on your DOS knowledge it can be quite some pain to set up.
A possible problem with DOS is that USB sticks wont work. Also using a PCI soundcard will most likely not work as well (Soundblaster LIVE and Audigy MIGHT work).
 
I have spent many hours attempting to get privateer to run in standard windows 98. While attempting to run in dos box I get the message:

Missing or invalid 386FX driver

I am so desperate to play this game... can someone lend a hand to this helpless fool?
