Privateer online question

I was browsing through the Privateer online site and I noticed that Confed's medium fighter is named Hurricane. Does anyone know if these were updates of the Hurricanes from Action Stations or a new model, a Hurricane II basically?

Yes, new model: it is the Huricane II.

They were invented separately, and Arena formally separates them. A number of items from Priv Online were made official with Star*Soldier, and the II was added on to differentiate the ship from the one seen in Action Stations.
