Privateer 2 problem

I have Privateer 2: The Darkening deluxe, which I cna play in Win98. My problem, however, is that the space flight is WAY too fast. You can't even aim at the enemy. Is there any way to slow down the space flight so as to make it playable? Thanks.

There's a fix for that problem floating around, but I dunno where it is. Maybe someone else could post a link.
