Privateer 2 problem

Hi, I'm having problems leaving the planet in privateer 2. always crashes.

I suspect i have the dos version converted to windows with the patch. So does anyone have any solution to this? i've tried disabling sound and video acceleration and copying all iff files to hard drive.

If not, could someone please post the DOS version of the files in priv2windowspatch which can be found at:

Heads up, they are gonna ask you to give more spefic details. Such as your cpu, graphics card, operating system, and do you have onboard soundcard or pci?
 
ok, my specs are:

P4 3.2
nvidia 7800 gs 256MB
1GB ram DDR400
windows XP Pro SP2
Audigy 2
MS forcefeedback 2 joystick
logitech momo racing steering wheel
and half a pack of cigarettes left.



If i can get the original DOS files that the windows patch overwrites i will probably be able to turn my game version back to DOS. its not much , just 2 mb.

If someone could post it, they can have my sister.
 
There are several hints in Thomas Perl's guestbook about joystick compatibility, and several workarounds to this issue - see http://perli.net/guestbook/

But why not use a simpler way like DOSbox to run your original Priv2 DOS version in XP? (Hint: Read the rules before answering.)

I don't understand your situation. If you upgraded with THP's patch, what happened to your original DOS disc? Do you have DOS drivers loaded?
