i just tried it, it didnt work. its definantely the fact that its looking for a sound card, not sound software.

i have tried everything you people have said. i will check origins website to see what they have to say.

The game doesn't like you SB Emulation. Try your MB manufacture and see if they have a driver update for your sound chip or get a real sound card.

ok, thanks, but personally, i think its a bit of a waste having to buy a sound card when sound comes off the board itself.... but ill see if there is an upgrade somewhere. the software is SoundMAX (i think). does anyone else have this type of software?

i think its just looking for the physical sound card and not the software... i hate dos based game installations.... i cant even get WC2 to install!!!

Sound card on the uni comp I'm using at the moment seems to have the name SoundMAX. Couldn't find much in the way of support for it, though. Sorry.

try this bootdisk, i NEED to know if it'll work on other systems other than my PIII 500 WINXP SB LIVE system for PRIV 2 DOS VERSION, it should work on older soundblaster cards but i need to confirm so please try it!

read instructions first, needs some file moving before its ready to work.
