Privateer 2 HBD ERROR

Hi guys, I installed my DOS version of Privateer 2 and using DOSBOX I can run the game, I get through the menue where you pick your save game, but it immediately crashes after that and I get the following:

Privateer 2 Fatal Error - openhandle - ERROR OPENING FILE crivat2\movies\hbd.hbd

The file is there and I can't think of why there could be an error message.

I'm running WinXP could it be a compatability issue?

If someone could post that file somewhere so I could try replacing it, that would be much appreciated!

If you're running it in DOSBox, it's not a compatibility issue. Did you apply the DOS P2 patch? There isn't actually a file called hbd.hbd. This is an error message.

Actually there is a file called hbd.hbd and its directly linked to warez copy of the game. Its a movie file that skips all the scenes that way they can make the game playable while still keeping size down. I don't know for a fact but thats the same error message my friend got when he tried downloading a free copy for himself so we didn't have to keep trading the cds back and forth.
