I started running the good trade routes right after the first shodi thing. So it's still really early in the game. I've trading for awhile now and I am worth about 270,000. But it seems that with the more money and/or equipment i have, the bad guys seem to get better. Better ships and alot better flying. Does anyone know if this is just my imagination. I guess my question is: Does the Computer AI difficuly raise as the story progresses or as you become worth more money thus being able to buy better equipment? Thanks.

The AI gets stronger as you progress. I think there are 12 difficulty levels based on plot advancement and kills.
