Planerary Ground Combat?

does any body know much about the ground forces in the WC universe? it seams an arear this is pretty much skipped. it wpould be nice to see this area done in a game.. or i justr want a new excuse to blast kitties:D

As Ripper said. We see ground battles in the Speradon Series in WC4. And the Terran Marine Corps is mentioned in several of the WC Novels. Especially in End Run.

They aren´t crazy, they found a copy of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun floating in the space and played with it!

Wow.. that means they are crazy... that wasn't a good game at all, why would they play it? :(

Wow, it is a good game, it has Michael Biehn and James Earl Jones and...those nifties..UFOs...and that..girl...you know, the pretty one.

C&C is terrible. Warcraft II beats it like a white, suburban house wife.

The Army and the Marine Corps make little appearances throughout the games from the very start: A good portion of the WC1 'reward' cutscenes have ground combat in them... with a special ops team blowing up the Kilrathi base at Brimstone, soldiers helping defend the Mopoks in Rostov and then interfering with the Sivar-Eshrad in SM2.

They're fairly absent in WC2, though we do see some heavily armored marines guarding Jazz on the O-Deck at the end of the game ("Betrayed the Confederation and nearly cost us the war, eh? Send him to play piano!").

If you kill your wingmen you'll see a couple of shipboard marines in WC3... and then they also appear in the Vagabond-punches-Dr.-Severin scene.

The marines get a huge amount of airplay (wordplay?) in the novels -- an amphibious (spacephibious?) invasion plays a major role in the second novel (End Run), and they appear throughout all the other books.

Hmm... what sort of information? I'll compile something for you if you ask something more specific...
