Well, some people did (TCSTigersClaw, at least :D)... I was just trying to keep the joke up, I thought that it was silly to reveal the joke before April 2nd.

The "subscription" I sent to ChrisReid was a request to unban me, for what I thanked him.

April Fools is an American tradition. Only Americans and those who know Americans will know it. So, don't be supprised.

TCSTigersClaw, April Fools got started when they switched the first month of the year from April to January. Many people forgot or didn't realize the change occurred. With human nature as it is, people started making fun of these people by playing along with the fools on April First, the old start of the year. This is how all this got started, and now it is considered somewhat disrespectful not to do them even though we are all on the same page with the start of the year.

April Fool's pranks are just simple pranks, and can be anything including false news and simple gags, though they have to be beleiveable. To do one, first know your target, and then modify your prank to them. Continue to play the game until either April 2, or when the prank starts hurting people, physically or emotionally.
 
Ehhh, maybe it's just the so-called American Imperialism (don't take that too seriously people), but I'm sure I remember April Fool's jokes in my primary school days in England. But I guess it's similar to Halloween. Even though the world takes note of it, only the US takes it to the extreme. :p

You know, if I anyone, it should be people on the other side of the world who gets sucked in by the CIC Complete thing - I didn't see the April Fool's update until April 2nd. :)

I didn't even know it was april 1st until after midday...

Canadians do April fools jokes too.

The best one I remember was an article that ran in the local paper about a new process to recycle toilet paper (used toilet paper) Anyway it pretty much was just a pail of worms that you put beside the toilet... People actualy wrote in requesting information on obtaining them and more....
