didn't work how? If you load it in virtualdub and don't have the necessary codec, it will tell you which one you need. I was telling JKeefe how to find out which codec he needs, not how to play it.
 
G-spot is also a good program that will let you know which codec you need...a little easier to work with than virtual dub (IMO).
 
I assume he used that codec because it comes with Camtasia, and because it is lossless (which was preferred). Dunno why no link was given, so thanks for hunting it down :)
 
FYI -- OS X users should download the "Ensharpen" codec for Mac, which is equivalent to the TSCC codec. It is available from the same site.
 
Once you click free scroll down to the bottom the next page and there will be a little timer that ticks down, once it finishes counting down you'll get a link to start the download. Threw me for a second or two.
