Other space combat games

I would have liked to see more companies release the source code to the games Like freespace did, because the fan projects like standoff,saga and BSG BTRL is better then most of the retail games that came out or that are coming out... im new to all the fan projects but omg I have to say WC fans Rock!!!!! So does the fs2 fans that do the OSP that allows the game to be modded to the point to be a new game... Today is a great day to live when the fans have the power to create

Phoenix: deep space resurrection
star quest 1 in the 27th century (humourous)
stellar mercenaries
skyfox 2: the cygnus conflict (the predecessor was made for the amiga and atari (no PC version).
and for those who like old games: one of the 1st space sims gone out on the PC (even if not the first game in the genre, as games like elite or star raiders went out on other platforms first such as the apple 2 or the atari XL line of computers): deep space: operation copernicus.
