ZXDemo.org is the place for fans of the ZX Spectrum. While TC was exploring their site, he found a Wing Commander 2 inspired creation by Erik Augustin for Demobit 95.

I think it might be a picture drawn by assembly code on old hardware, but I'm not sure. It might just be a random picture drawn on a Spectrum ZX, which seems to be their platform of choice.

How come random, old news stories sometimes appear at the top of the news discussion forum?

I'm not complaining either way, I grew up with Spectrum and Amiga and love silly stuff like this. I'm afraid I differ regarding the WC2 cats being my favorite Kilrathi, for me they were just too Earth like, too feline. I like WC1 cats for their mysterious anonymity, but consider WC3 Kilrathi to the most 'realistic' - in that they looked very alien to me.

It happens if someone clicks the 'comments' link (maybe even certain spambots?) on old stories in the news archives if they nobody did so when the story was new or if it predated the current commenting system.

A few years back, someone or some thing went and clicked on like a thousand old news posts, so there aren't all that many that don't have associated CZ threads, but they do still come up from time to time.
