1.) Some big ship Confed had planned for the mid-2660s, IIRC. It was supposed to house a superweapon of some sort, I think. Maybe a prototype of the Behemoth, before the Bellisarius Group kicked into action?

2.) Nope.

I don't think anyone could give you an answer for those others, other than, "I don't know."

1. The “dreadnought-class battleship” is described in Fleet Action as having stealth attributes, improved shielding (that would be “proof against medium-yield antimatter warheads”), and a rumored super-weapon (that Tolwyn describes as “an even darker secret”).

2. Not that we know of. As of the Battle of Terra, at least one was “under construction on the far side of the Confederation” away from the war front. Admiral Banbridge believed it would be around a year to a year-and-a-half before the engines on the first ship could be activated. Tolwyn apparently had his doubts that the ship would be ready in time to be used in the war at all.

3, 4, 5. We don’t know.

Based on the description, it's very *not* the Behemoth <G> But based on its timeline, it wouldn't have entered service during the war anyway...

In addition, we know from Heart of the Tiger that Tolwyn was involved in “the early planning of Project Behemoth”, yet in Fleet Action Banbridge is surprised, even alarmed, that Tolwyn knows of the existence of “Project Omega”, stating that Tolwyn was “never cleared . . . to know anything about it”.

It's certainly *not* the Behemoth...

... because Tolwyn isn't supposed to know about it.
... because it's a smaller stealth ship.
... because it wouldn't have entered service in '69.

What *I* wonder is why everybody always obsesses over the fact that it *must* be the Behemoth -- aside from the fact that they're both ships, I fail to see the connection...

Odd idea of the moment... take a retired Behemoth (properly finished of course) and convert it to a carrier... capable of carrying and supporting it's own squadron of escort corvettes even...

All that wonderful internal space

And were there an opening into the internal chamber other than the muzzle or was my copy of WC3 bugging?

Chernikov: Hmm, thats an interesting idea, but I'd wonder where you'd put the rest of the facilities. I mean, sure the barrel of the cannon is huge and all but where would you land? Even if you made landing platforms on the sides or the center of the barrel, where would the techs come from? The opposite end of the barrel just seems to be engines and a tiny little control center.

It's interesting, but would it be worth refitting something that size? There is the Midway, after all.

I think there was. I don't think the plating of the barrel was complete.
