Oldziey Makes Tracks

212 Squadron - "The Old Man's Eyes And Ears"
What do tracks would you fans want if EA lets Oldziey do an Orchestral CD? I'm listing a few below, if you can't think of the name (if its one of the existing MP3s), then tell the SPECIFIC scene in either WC 3, 4, or Prophecy.

1.) Opening Credits to Wing Commander 3, straight through to the landing on the Victory
2.) Scene where Prince Thrakhath sends the Heart of the Tiger Message in Wing Commander 3
3.) A single track for all the inflight music from WC3, including the Launch theme, the scamble theme and the landing theme, all orchestrated as if it were a film score. (In other words, isnt 4 minutes of 30 second cues, 2 seconds of silence, music cue, etc...the music compeltely flows)
4.) Breifing Music with Tolwyn over Project: Behemoth
5.) The Bar Music from WC3
6.) Briefing with Eisen before the Final Mission
7.) Melody of all the Bridge / Gunnery Station / Flight Station theme
8.) The Final Mission Theme
9.) Destruction of Kilrah / Meeting Melek / Kilrathi Truce
10.) WC 3 End Title Credits
11.) Opening Credits to WC4
12.) A track of all the WC4 inflight music orchestrated in the same way as track 3
13.) "The Milk Run" - Combination of the tracks where Catscratch is attacked by Confed forces over a satalite extraction. It plays the in-flight, the succeed and the failure music and score during the chewing out of Catscratch and Maniac on the Deck of the Intrepid.
14.) The Death of Vagabond
15.) The Arrival of the St Helens
16.) Arrival at Telemon
17.) Confronting Tolwyn / War Averted / Tolwyn Dies
18.) End Titles from WC4
19.) Combination of all the In-Flight music from WC Prophecy

The final track is a special one. George has said its a good idea, but he's so busy, he's not sure if he could do it. I asked him if he does do a WC Orchestral CD, to write one or maybe two new peices to some of the WC novels. I'd like to hear his version of the Battle of Earth, the Final Battle in "End Run" or the Cloak Chase in "Fleet Action"

You mean like track 2 on the Win95 X-Wing CD? It's 17 minutes of battle medley, no stops at all, just about every piece from the movies. (Wonder how they got the orchestra to play that long...)

Thats exactly what I mean Bob!

Um, the orchestra didn't play that long...it's a peice that's just edited well on a mixing board... o.O;;

It sounds long......but it really isn't that hard. Well, it is taxing. But Top level orchestras I have heard play 45 minute pieces! That.....I can't do. I can play for about 20 minutes on one piece straight....and then I have to stop.

Any symphony or concerto worth its salt is over 30 minutes if not over 45 minutes long. Hell, even some sonatas are over 30 minutes long. Granted these are multi-movement pieces so a 3-5 second break is given, but I honestly see little difference between that and 45 minutes of continual playing.

BTW, people...go onto Napster and download the theme from "King's Row" by Korngold. Tell me what it reminds you of...

I agree it sounds similar to the Star Wars theme, but I don't think it's as bad as you made it out to be. I certainly don't consider it to be a total ripoff, not to mention the Star Wars theme is much more impressive than King's Row.

I... ehm... really like the pic under your rank, ace... I really do! :D

Well at least you're being original, like LOAF and the others... Kris's still got the "so-impressive-to-scare-a-cadet" Space Marshal medal... ;)

No petitioninh just yet. I'm playing dumb and hopeful right now, since Mr Oldziey sent a request up EA's food chain for the rights to make the CD. If (and when :( ) That doesn't work, we rally the troops.

I'd also like to point out to some people that emailed me. The list I posted on this board, and the one LOAF copied to the News Section of the CIC IS A WISH LIST. I don't have these tracks...if I did, I'd have already given them out to people!!! SO LEAVE ME ALONE! I DON'T HAVE THEM! ARRRRRRRGH!

That's my way of being original. And I'm also too lazy to get a graphic.

To my knowledge Oldziey didn't get involed until WC3. The stuff before that was done by The Fatman and company.
