New Emulation Rules Bring Classic WC Games to Apple Devices (April 18, 2024)

In an exciting reversal of longstanding platform rules, Apple now allows emulation programs on iPhones and iPads. This means a large number of new devices now have access to emulators capable of playing Super Nintendo or Game Boy Advance games, for example. Delta is the first legit console emulator that has made its way to the app store. It's free, and it has some great features such as AirPlay to TV and support for Xbox and other controllers. LOAF did some cartridge WC game tests, and the results were very impressive! Here's some tantalizing screenshots:






The Delta emulator they just released in the iOS App Store is the coolest f*cking thing I’ve ever seen.

So the app itself is a free download from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/delta-game-emulator/id1048524688

For the games you will need to provide a ROM. In theory that means copying your own game but the reality is that the web is full of old game ROMs. Download the one you want in Safari and then go to your files. Once you have Delta installed the file association will already be set up and you will just have to click on the ROM file to add it to your library.

We can't offer the Wing Commander GBA and SNES ROMs in our library but I assure you they're easy to get. But whatever you do, please don't access my personal directory here and rifle through any of my files, like the one linked here: https://wcnews.com/loaf/wcroms.zip
