My first encounter with the Concordia's AMG

Like the next-to-last mission of WC1, where you get a surprise package of three or four really pissed off Gratha? I have yet to lose the TC on that mission, but it ain't because it was easy.

In one of the missions in WC1 you had to defend the Claw against lot's of Grathas in a Hornet. It was on the first losing track, IIRC.

Hey losing on purpose to play the alternate paths is cool, there are some very interesting missions there. Valkyrie is one, and the escorting of the USO ship too.

It's a lot harder than the main path too.

The losing path had lots of very interesting mission. It's really worth playing. You can lose a lot on WC, you just have to win the last few sectors, so you go to Rostov and then Venice.

Do that, it's worth it. Hell's Kitchen is evil, and you can't win. If you didn't kill the Kilrathi aces, they will all show up on some missions.

For me, the hardest to kill is the first: Bhurak

By the time you've done enough damage to his Salthi, your gun capacitors are low, and he burners away. If you're lucky, you might take him with a missile/guns combo before he can get out of your cone of fire, but that's about the only way. Once he goes to burners and runs for it, he's pretty much gone.

Overmortal,

first, kill the other two salthi. Then fire a heatseaker at Bhurak, if it hits, good, if not, he's probably turned back at you. Fire at him as he passes and immediately go to afterburner behind him. With luck, you can nail him while he's still in gun range.

Then again, i once nailed him with a dumbfire right up his chin. :) Take that superpolymers!

Yea, my favorite method for nailing him is to let him get started on a straffing run at the Drayman. Toggle dumbfires, and let him have one right up the pipes. Just as it's about to impact, start gunning. Estimated time between first hit and having Bhurak's head in your pocket - 0.87 seconds.

IIRC, if you just save the transport you still get a positively worded briefing... but you still get the losing music and no medal.

But you get to the "good" mission series afterwards.
I have a very good internet game guide for wc1... written by on David "Center" Raley. he details how many Victory Points you need in each mission series and how many you get in each mission.
Problem is I only have it in a print out, I lost the .txt file. does any one know of it? Anyone knows this guy?

question, what is WCA TV? is it a series based on wc in anime or toon form? if so, where can i get it? Thanks!

WCA TV was an animated series based on the events of WC1. It featured Blair, Maniac, and their fellow cadets as they moved from the Academy up onto the Claw. Mark Hamill was the voice of Blair, and Tom Wilson provided the voice for Maniac. It only lasted for 13 episodes. You can download all 13 episodes here
