Finder of things, Doer of stuff
Just Noticed.... Chris Roberts Film company's official web site is now online and can be found at :http://www.ascendantpictures.com/

Some interesting info is found therein along with a bunch of WC references...

They plan to release atleast 4 movies a year etc, etc... Oh and PNR still exists but is ascendants sister company... Ascendent will focus on Films and PNR on Games...

They Can be contacted at:
9350 Civic Center Dr. _Suite 110
Beverly Hills, CA _90210
Phone _310-288-4600
Fax _310-288-4601

Also... PNR's site seems to be offline...

What does this mean for a WC tv show or movie? Your guess is as good as mine...

it means that hopefully the next WC movie will be better cause they'll have had more experience

Hope, there will be one.At least we are sure that there will be a TV show :P

What they need is money, more than expirience...:(

hey, i'll take anything. movie, tv show, new game, just gimme something WC that is NEW!!!!!

I hope that the tv show isn't just brainless shooting. It should show character development, like WC4.

and hopefully, the TV people gear it for the right age group, unlike what they did for Academy

Well, you are right...WCA was for 8 year old boys....But it was good..

Just hope the new series will be better

The problem with the WCA series was that it was marketed toward 8 year old boys by the USA Network, but it was really designed for WC fans and a more mature audience.

lets hope USA (or who ever gets it) will get it right this time.

First off there are some major problems with info on the Chris Roberts part under team at taht site. It says he released Freelancer in 1999 and Starlancer in 2000. But Starlancer was released in 1999 and Freelancer not yet. I don't know what they were smoking. Second........They better not put it on USA because I only get like 15 channels because everything on TV is crap. It would be sweet if it made it to the 8:00 slot on CBS or something, that's when we know it would be a great show. Even the original series Star Trek was on the 10:00 pm slot and look where it got.

There is almost no way that a start up show like that would be able to bump out another show that has a solidified primetime slot.

Although I must say that would be incredibly awesome.

Hmmm... Must have been a temporary down....

Anyway, I've always kinda thought TV was a better medium to do WC in... Movies are cool too but In a TV show you can better lay out the long campaigns and such with plenty of time left over for characterizations... For example you could easily turn WC2 into one season (or two including SO 1+2)... But if they were to make it a movie what missions and such would they have to cut?? They couldnt conceivably put them all into a 2 hour movie.

I'd really like another movie but it should really be a stand alone... (ie have it's own story)

As for Mr Roberts Film company... I was only wondering if there is a TV show for example... who would do it? PNR or Ascendant or did I miss something? Ascendant seems to be all about Film.

WCA was mixed sometimes. It had some very good, mature plots... And out of nowhere comes a thor-like guy. Oh well, it was still very good. The best piece of WC, story-wise, since WCIV.
