Model problem

I am currently building a model of an old 1880 Ironclad warship. The SMS Wurttemberg. I am trying to accomplish this with very little reference, and its very difficult. I am searching everywhere for information on the Saschen class warships from the late 1800s, but its getting very hard to come by, anyone here have any suggestions? (Keeping in mind I've already been through the history section at the local library, searched the internet, and already went through my own circles of historians.)

Wow, that's a tough one. Where do you live? I know some good sources in the DC area, but I doubt that they would be much help to you.

Hmm, I don't know if this helps but the correct spelling of the ship class would be "Sachsen" (meaning "Saxony") instead of "Saschen", perhaps that will give you more results on the internet.

Try the Bundesarchiv ("federal archives") at Freiburg, Germany. They have a large collection of warship plans. Unfortunately their homepage isn't available in English yet, but at least you can contact and ask them.
