Mission 9A?

Ok, I am on mission 9A, the one where you escort the Avenger through the Venice jump point. The thing is, when the Avenger comes back, I find myself fighting infinite waves of fighters! I managed to shoot down the Ray at Nav 1 before it could signal the Nephilim fleet, but what do I need to do at Nav 3? Do I need to kill all the enemy fighters BEFORE the Avenger comes back through the jump point, or just the Devil Rays, or what?

After the Avenger comes through, you have a minute or two to kill the rest of the enemies and autopilot out of there. If you don't make it in time... good luck .

Well you actually still can win if the Squids start to appear, but you have to be damn fast to kill them faster then they respawn. Just make sure that once the Avenger is in you menage to have no fighters around for one second and then hit Auto like a Maniac... Generally speaking it is better to run before the first wave of Squids.
Save your DF missiles and Stormfire for the Devil Rays and later waves.

PS: Of course there is also the cowards way... run, dodge, run, dodge... Autopilot is not a must after all.
