Mission 8?

At least I think it's 8........Anyways it's the mission where you have to escort the Avenger through to Jump point and then dogfight with an Ocra and her escorts until the Avenger returns........Well I need some help with that one.

I'm fine till the Avenger returns through the Jump point, then I get overrun by squids. I'm thinking there it some trick to finishing off the end of this mission. The waves of squid seem endless. I'm not sure if I need to try and take out that Orca, though neither the Banshee or Epee have sufficent firepower to take it out competly. Or should just hit the afterburners and hightale it out of there when the Avenger gets back.......Though the squids are faster the either the Banshee or the Epee....

Maybe i'll just blow up the jump point bouy for spite.....
 
IIRC you can kill all the Orca´s turrets (optional bonus) and then AB the hell out of there.
 
If you're having trouble, your best bet is to ignore the Hydra, and just try to kill the fighters as fast as possible. Order your wingmen to attack the fighters as well - keep them away from the turrets. This way, you should be able to kill everything and autopilot out of there before the Squids show up.
