Maps, maps, maps, maps and a map

Bandit LOAF

Long Live the Confederation!
It's... NOT WHAT YOU THINK DAY!

Before Johnny's WCU map... before my cheap ripoff WCU map... before those maps in the Armada guide... before the map in the movie intro... there was... THE VEGA SECTOR.

And here's lots of different versions of it!

WC1 (The original!):

SegaCD ('SWC style!'):

MegaCD ('Tiger's Claw versus Fralthi'):

Super Famicom ('Apocalypse'):

And last, but certainly not least...

FM Towns (The original fold-out map!):

Interestingly, the American Super NES WC has no map... and despite the fact that the SegaCD has a SWC-styled map (with the SWC logos), no version of SWC has a map.

Having never played the Sega CD one, I like the map. (Even more-so the ideas that there are neutral or uncontrolled areas within Kilrathi space. :) )

Erm, yes, as are all the other maps I mentioned in my original post. The Vega Sector map is part of our heritage, though...

What? No, it's the Vega Sector map from WC1... from different versions of WC1... weird foreign versions...

True as that may be, I still fail to believe that the Kilrathi had any "netural" areas. After all, dominating an area doesn't leave much room for neutrality. (And they didn't really seem to mind attacking people, who didn't want a fight or no.)

Personally, I suspect its more 'unused' than neutral. The system's been named, explored, and catalogued, but nobody uses it for anything, so its 'neutral'.

I'd probably tend to agree with that, something uncolonized maybe.
