I'd probably agree that 3 would be the best, although I think the Privateer ones were pretty nice-they could take a chunk outta me at times. :)

The WC3 ships by far. The assymetrical (I think that's the term that means if you half the ship, the two sides don't look the same) ships were very cool looking. They reminded my of cutting weapons (swords, knives, etc). Also the placement of the guns on some of the ships is the only way to go (and only logical way, too)!! The grouping together of all the guns in one pod (like the dralthi IV, darket, sorthak, and paktahn) gives the kilrathi the advantage of their weapon bursts all being on target and hitting the same area, causing the most amount of damage. Also, this configuration does away with having to set the weapons to cross at a certain distance (ie, old fighters from WWI and WWII had their guns set to converge around 100 to 150yards)

Though vunerable to strikes to that area (one stray shot could knock out your entire gun array), that configuration kicks some serious butt!!

:)

I personally don't like the Privateer Kat ships at all...
WC3 are very nice because of the odd and uneven shapes, and the nice 3D engine from the game... :)
I made some sketches of them...

IIRC those fighters didn't have their weapons mounted in 1 pod. The Dralthi IV had a separate pod for its particle cannon placed separate from the cockpit mounted meson blasters. The Paktahn had 6 guns, 4 mounted separately in a 1 per prong basis.

WC3's Kilrathi ships are, in my opinion, what Kilrathi ships should look like. The assymetry, the blade-like structure and predatory look. Too perfect for a hostile race of felines!

Sorry, jumped the gun on the Paktahn and Dralthi. If they didn't have all their guns in one pod, there were at least alot of them grouped together in a pod:).

Why do the Capships in WC3 and WC4 look different when their class is the same?? it looks like.... i dunno how to describe it....
