Kilrathi Saga Cheats

Every time I bring up the WC1 and WC2 config files, all I see is a blank screen. How do I activate cheats?

p.s. Yeah, I know, cheating is deplorable, but hey, it got me through high school

I think for KS the only cheat that works is the invulnerability one and that one can be selected from the main menu.

supposedly you can edit the config files to make you invicible and keep your name, but I don't know how to.
