Did anyone think P2's atmosphere felt like Bladerunner's (the movie)?

), desperately trying to outrun the drone, firing potshots at it from my rear plasma guns and so on, before I came up with the idea... "Yes, that's it! I'll go to Kilrathi space, it'll never follow me there! And I can refuel at that mining base!"
.It works... only most of the time. Sooner or later, a stray asteroid remains in memory, and then - SPLAT! - bye bye Grayson.Originally posted by RFBurns
Despite what others may say, it actually works to avoid hitting the asteroids.
So I don't use that technique.
. Well, maybe not exactly fun, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. It just adds so much to the game, trying to figure out how to get away from it. Crazy ploys like leading it into a pack of Kilrathi and hoping they'll kill it, or at least it will stop to kill them... the times when it finally disappears from your radar, only to reappear the next time you take off... the drone is basically supposed to be frustrating, so if you ask here about how to deal with it, you miss out on a lot of good gameplay

I've been promising myself that the next time I get back to Privateer I'll cash in my Centurion and get meself a Galaxy instead. But of course, there's hardly any incentive to play Priv these days. Not meaning to offend any Priv fanatics. It's just that once you finish the storyline, all you can do is fly around making money. Boring.

It would take you quite a while to earn enough credits to buy your own base. By the time you did that, the next Wing Commander game would probably be out.![]()
Wouldn't you like that, now would you?Originally posted by Mekt-Hakkikt

Of course it would spoil the fun for mpanty/john if you tell me.
