Jump point map request.

Ok, I am looking for a map of the WC jump points (lost my prophecy map). Specifically I want the Gemini sector map. Back in 97 I had my hands on a strategy guide for Privateer and it had an indept listing of what was in every system and locations of everything. Is there any place online that has this?

Well, here is the map that came with Prophecy and here is the larger map of the Wing Commander universe that LOAF made.

Yeah, I found the thread with that map. And I found the smaller Gemini map. But I am hoping to find an information source that will tell me exactly whats in each system. Heck, maps of each system would be nice.

Play the game often enough, and you'll soon remember what's in each system. :)

Or you could play the game and, in the navigation screen, highlight each system in turn, writing down what bases are present - only pirate bases are not listed in the computer. IIRC, there are pirate bases in Pentonville, Sherwood, Capella, Valhalla, among others.

I'ld like to find that book again too. I have a copy but it's fairly worn out from use. None of the shops in my area carries it anymore and say they can't get it because it's out of print.

You can find just about anything online. I would first suggest eBay. From there look at Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble. They have a huge selection of books, videos, movies, etc. so you should be able to find it somewhere.

Thanks. Ebay might work. I didn't try amazon or B&N online because the B&n store here told me it was out of print and they couldn't get it.

I used to work at a B&N store and if they say they can't get it, that usually means even online. All B&N book orders go through a few distributaries and if they don't have them they go to the B&N main warehouse. If that doesn't have it, your out of luck with B&N. If anyone has friends that work at B&N see if they will let you peruse their book searching system, there are so many outof date titiles that they have just collecting dust in their main warehouse.

Why? It's not really important, IMHO. Although I think Locke's Navpoint! had a database of systems and bases with his map, but I don't think the site is online anymore.

Where's Locke's Navpoint?

Also with the jump from Gaea (remember in RF you're told to head for the grey moon) to Rikel, did that only appear after the mission?

I'm pretty sure I managed to find it at the start of RF. I think all I did was fly between the two rightmost navpoints (on the navmap) in the Rikel system, it's not hard to find the jumppoint from there, and it's pretty funny wandering around inside the Retro's base system. :)

Locke's Navpoint!, IIRC, used to be at either http://www.blacklance.org/locke/ or http://www.blacklance.org/fongal/, but neither are working due to the recent BL.org move (and I don't think Locke maintains his sites anymore).

Yes, I found the jumppoint there everytime i went there, regardless of the game storyline. It's in the asteroid field in Rikel between the 2 nav points as Wedge mentioned.

Yes, that's the only guide there is for Privateer 1. I'm actually looking for a copy of it myself. I gave the one I had to a friend for his birthday.
