Just updated my computer from me to xp and decided to install WC3 that I had laying around on it only I can't, any sugestions?
Instaling WC3 on windows xp

forget to state my problem, when i try to load it I get a bad cd error message

1) create a shortcut to command.com some where on your comp.
2) right click go to properties, compatability tab, set to windows 95
3) run the command promt, switch to your cd drive and run wc3.exe to install.
This gets it setup on your comp, I haven't tried playing it this way though. I use VDMSound for playing.

To get it installed this way, I also had to edit my config.nt in my Windows/System32 Folder. and add/change:
files=40
buffers=20
The game runs this way. But I do not have digital sound and the movies don't work at all. - But music is working. Guess the movies are coppled to the no sound issue, so fixing that should help. Only problem is, my DSP-500 has no emulated DOS drivers
