I wonder if anybody else has thought of this for a fan made movie?

Has anybody thought about doing Wing Commander 4 The Movie? What I thought would be cool is to take the live action cinematic sequences and cut them together with 3D rendered space battles to create a, somewhat, feature length movie.
I know that there are scenes with fighters battling and what not so the rendered combat sequences, that are made to fill in the points the player would fighting in, would not match up completely. But hey I thought it might be a neat idea.

Might well rival the WC Movie, tho' that ain't saying much, in a way...
 
WC4 the movie as in choose a plotline and clip all the movie files together... maybe with a little 3-d rendered space battles in the middle as filler... would be cool to recreate the look of the movie segments.
 
Guess what... I've been working on that for quite some time :D... I'm looking for a way to keep the sound in the movies, and a friend of mine has space-battle rendering for hobby.
 
It came with bundled software with new computers. There's also two versions: one is double-sided and the other is single-sided.
