As you will soon discover, LOAF's Secret Mission 2.5 was successful. We are currently awaiting his arrival, where he will be greeted with a tickertape parade and whatever else we can manage to pull off at the last mission.

Huzzah for LOAF! Huzzah for Wing Commander! Huzzah for the CIC!!!!!

We'll find out soon enough I suppose:)

Til then, news of new WC things to see is always welcome:)
By saying we, I meant the administators. and yes, WC items are always welcome.

Hmm . . . sounds nice . . . but will we have to sign our souls over for it?

. . . sorry . . . I've been watching the Simpsons . . .

Homer Simpson is usually pretty interesting. Especially when dougnuts are involved . . . oh, wait . . you're talking about LOAF's mission, aren't you? . . darn.

And, no, it was the episode where Homer needs more money, so he become's Burn's "Prank Monkey", and ends up getting raped by a panda bear.

I'm sure LOAF has many stories to tell from his trip.

(right?)

[20:33] <LOAF> Anyway, my favorite story from my trip was about how Privateer CD was cancelled several times a day.
[20:33] <LOAF> Erin Roberts said he'd come in in the morning to find a memo telling him to inform the team it'd been cancelled.
[20:33] <LOAF> And then it'd be back on before lunch.
[20:33] <LOAF> And cancelled again in the afternoon.
[20:34] <LOAF> He eventually stopped telling anyone EA had cancelled, and the game was finished.

I had a pretty good trip.

As for the WC aspect: Erin Roberts and Jorg Neumann from Digital Anvil were kind enough to have lunch with me on Monday -- they're interested in a project I'm working on (with the other CIC guys and the Origin Museum) to try and archive as much old Origin material as possible (design docs, scripts, storyboards, props, video tapes, etc.) They gave me a big bag full of stuff -- versions of movie scripts, bug reports, designs, manual layouts, assorted production notes, mission plans and such -- for a number of WC games. We're (CIC and company) working on setting up a plan to archive it all (and a bunch of other neat stuff).
