How do I backup save games?

I've been wondering for many years now, how do I back up my save games for all my wing commander games?

I'm mainly worried about my wc kilrathi saga wc3 saves, wc4 saves, and my wing commander prophecy saves.

which files contain the actual saves i've created in these games so i can copy them to a cd or something?
 
From memory, WC3/4 store their information in *.WSG files (at a guess: WC Save Game)

Prophecy/Secret Ops have clearly marked 'history' and 'Save' folders.

It's not a bad idea to look through all the files marked as being recently modified - should give you a good indication as to what's used and what isn't.
