Yeah, I mean I called the Cats CGI because they are technically CGI... Although I am not stupid, I recognize the immense difference between cartoon cats and the WCIV intro... Just didn't know what else to call them.
The WCP Kilrathi are just the color comm versions of the WC3 Kilrathi... re-used footage. Some of us have seen 'em in color before... (Those of us familiar with the console WCs).
I never noticed that... Now that I think about it I too believe that the shots are the same as WC3, and if they're not, they're shots of the same kind of cats in the same kind of helmets, which to me still constitutes groovy inflight Kilrathi no matter what they are made of.
I was very astonished how much of a difference a bit colour makes in those WCP Kilrathi. The only inriguing thing for me was, that (nearly) each time you communicated (i.e. insults) with the same ship, you always got a different face when he said sth different to you. I found it strange because in WC2 and WCA a face sticks to the ship.
Nevertheless they were cool...
I never saw it as realistic that in the 27th century we'd still have little green squares full of static as comms windows... I never noticed the difference between the various Kilrathi, But what I really loved about the WCP kilrathi were their voices. They're extremely good, especially the co-op sounds, when they call for help etc...
if I knew which console, and someone were to give it to me for free, and also the games, then yes... But I don't want to by a Playstation/3D0 or whatever just to play a few games I already have, to see the inflight comms
Why didn't Privater 2 have any cool comms? Those were just drawings! In my opinion that was very bad indeed... Erin more than made up for it in Starlancer, I love the chatter in that game...
