I was just looking at the WCP map and I noticed that Ghorah Khar had a red dot representing it. During SO 1, Ghorah Khar had gained its independence from the Kilrathi Empire. Did they lose their independence later on in the war? Or was it that they rejoined their fellow Kilrathi after the conclusion of the war when the Empire fell?
 
Thrakhath says in the beginning of WC2 that the rebellion on Ghorah Khar was crushed, if memory serves. Maybe that's when they got back under Kilrathi control.
 
No, the plot of WC2 is that you must help the defenders of Ghorah Khar to gain they freedom.
 
The scene in the intro to WC2 is when Thrakhath is told that Ghorah Khar has been taken by the rebels -- he orders the shipyards (where the stealth fighters were being built) destroyed, and retreats. You spend quite a bit of time in WC2 and SO1 defending Ghorah Khar...
