Getting Privater To Run in XP

Hi all,

Yes I know there are several posts on how to do this, I just wanted to know what is the easiest way. VMware seems a little out of my league as I will have to locate all my old dos disks and I really dont have the confidence to play around with something like that.

Are there any other options? I noticed that several of the old DOS only Ultima's have been reworked to run in windows (eg Ultima 7)
Is this possible with Privater?

Well, I tried VMWare and it did'nt work with privateer (The CD version). The only thing that would make it work is a emulator or something like that. They have some on www.sourceforge.net like Bochs x86 PC emulator and DOSBox DOS Emulator. But since they are early in development, they are slow or buggy or doesn't support protected mode.
