Are you allowed to carry more then one type of shield at time?

Yeah, just not mounted, of course.

And they can only be swapped while docked. I also think unused equipment uses cargo space. I'm no sure about that, though.

You can't BUY two different shields, but you can pick them up from space.

Except some mods, shields aren´t salvageable.

Actually you can store shields, even without mods. When you buy a new ship, it comes with a shield, and the old one is stores. I'm not totally sure about ships of the same class, but you can certainly have your old shield if you change the ship class.

So if you have an advanced freighter shield, you can keep it.

It's funny, there are lvl 10 freighter, fighter shields and heavy fighter shields, but is there any ship to use them?
