Okay, I've seen some complaints about font size and now that I can see ALL the fonts, I can actually comment.

If you're using the default font, the Times font, you get a MUCH larger font size than you do using the ariel font.

For those of you olaying in 800x600, try changing your font.

My bro just got a 6800... was able to pump 100 fps at 1920x1440 with 4xFSAA ;-)

course I'm not quite so fortunate...
 
I have a 128MB 9800 Pro and my rig pumps 200 FPS (seems to be a cap) with 6xAA and 16xxAF (i.e. max quality). I don't run higher resolutions than that, as I can't read anything.

With temporal AA activated, the framerate never drops below the screen refresh (v-sync is required for temporal anti-aliasing).

Sol sometimes causes vanilla Vega Strike to drop to 30 or 40 when there's a battle going on...not sure why yet--but it's not a terrible horror...sol in CVS is pretty intense.
