Favorite Kilrathi Ship . . .

This thread may have been done before (in fact I'd be suprised if it wasn't) but hey it may have been overlooked.

I finished WC2 again a few weeks ago and realized once more how much I hate to fly the dralthi. . .

If you were in the Kilrathi Empirial Navy (don't know what they call themselves), what ship would you like to fly?

This can be from any WC game and mine is going to be from one of the first ones . . .

Of all the fighters in the WC games, the two that gave me the most trouble, and seemed to be the best, well balanced Kilrathi fighters ever, were the Gratha and the Hhriss.
The Gratha is the lighter of the two and the most balanced, a very formidable fighter indeed.
The Hhriss is the Kilrathi equivalent/clone of my favorite WC fighter of all time, the venerable Raptor. Almost the same speed, same weapons, same abilities, and just as hard to kill (maybe even harder due to some really tough armor) than the Raptor, it would have to be my choice as my favorite Kilrathi fighter.

I was always kind of impressed with the Vaktoth. Had the Kilrathi had any pilots of decent ability, that fighter could have been downright dangerous. Heavily armed and armored, reasonably quick, and jump-capable. And it looks cool, too.

I was tickled when I finally got a chance to fly it with the simulator cheats in Prophecy. As I suspected, with a good pilot at the controls, it's quite a fearsome machine -- especially to the poor guys who happened into my sights. :)

I vote for the Vaktoth too. That thing was powerful and much better than the Thunderbolt VII as far as heavy fighters went....

My vote's for the Gothri. It had no drawbacks. Sometimes I wonder if maybe the Kilrathi would've won the war before the T-Bomb and the Behemoth were prepared, if they'd just continued updating Gothris, instead of continually updating proven crap like the Dralthi. Or were they trying to prove that the Dralthi could be made combat viable?

Considering how many of the things were around, the Dralthi was probably cheaper to build than pretty much any fighter except maybe the Darket.
Personally, I always found the Gothri to be too small to give me any trouble, and just big enough to qualify as targets for the Concordia's PTC.
:p

But surely they have minimum standards? Afterall which do you think is the better deal: $100 for a Dralthi Mk 1, or $500 for a Hhriss?

Depends on the mission. For a strike mission against an enemy transport, the Hhriss would probably be better (bigger guns and all that).
For a mission escorting a wing of bombers (where the primary objective is to tie up the defending fighters until the bombers get their job done), the extra Dralthi that you can get for the price of a single Hhriss would be more useful.

Well my choucie isn't a flashy looker but the Sorthak has a nice appeal big, mean, armored, armed, and heavily covered by shields.

I also have a certain like for bloodfang mk2 and Paktahn both bruisers in their catagories.

It's really hard to say:The Hhriss, the Gothri, the Sorthak and Bloodfang were the sole really dangerous Kilrathi fighters in the games (granted, the Vaktoth wasn't too bad either). But I'd like to fly the Strakha once in a while.

I want something between a medium and a heavy. Not quite as big as a Vaktoth, but less crap than a Dralthi. I'm not quite sure what that would be...

Haven't had the chance to use the Vaktoth but jumping ability is nice isn't it? Also what if you had to use a light fighter? I think I'd have to go with one of the strakha ( I deem these light fighters because it usually took nothing to punch through their shields and armor) because of their cloak. NOw you see me, now you don't!
The Sartha would be a pretty formidable fighter if you could get more than a dumbfire for a missle compliment.

That's all fine and dandy, but what about the Privateer Strakha?

Thrakath's Bloodfang would probably be the best stats wise, but I would definitely like to fly a Vaktoth. While the Victory's Streak's description of it being "superior to the Thunderbolt" might be stretching things, the fact that it has eight missiles instead six would mean that it would be just as good a fighter killer as the Thunderbolt.

Bombing missions: Pakthan fore sure. With that many forward guns, the lethal tail gun and *six* torps, it would eat any Confed capship group for breakfast.

Best, Raptor

Privateer Strakha??

I dont remember any in Privateer.....

Whatever my favorite and I think one of the best is

The Jrathek.I like the design very much and love to fly it in WCArmada:D

Thats all:confused:
