This is not a something vs. something thread; this is a something vs. nothing thread and I can prove it.

In BattleTech, there is a universe with many diverse cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, and religions. In Star Adventure 1040, there are just plastic children who appear white and nothing else.

BattleTech represents many forms of government, ranging from democracy, feudalism, despotism, and tribal systems. From what there is of Star Adventure 1040, all there is is the tyrant plastic figure on the boat bossing around the defenseless person on the life ring and the plastic dolphin.

In BattleTech, there are 100-ton 15-meter tall walking machines called BattleMechs that have the fire of entire tank companies. In Star Adventure 1040, all there are are plastic boats.

In BattleTech, there are various levels of technology, ranging from the basic 20th century tech Agro-World, to the super-high-tech worlds of the Clans. In Star Adventure 1040, all we see is a primitive children's rowboat.

In BattleTech, there are numerous books, field manuals, technical readouts, and websites to peruse for reference or entertainment, along with a good selection of well-written Fan Fiction. As for Star Adventure 1040, there seems to be no sort of reference to it at all, let alone any hard-copy texts or websites.

Thus, this was a true something vs. nothing post, as BattleTech is a game filled with an exciting universe on at least ten years old, while Star Adventure 1040 seems to be a figment of young Herring-head's imagination.
