How does that work?

As for Circe, the first time I played WC4, I picked Circe, and went on the tank busting mission first. I sucked it big time. Well, the installation did, anyway. I can't appreciate the Vindicator, so I preferred to go on the S&D op, then escort the refugees.

Confed's black ops gang was backing *everything* in WCIV -- that's why pirates attack us (remember, the Caernarvon we destroyed early on had been the base for a flashpack attack...).

Ahhhhhhh... see, thanks Wedge, I was getting confused with the "Caernavon" term... thought you were referring to a Space Station (like... DUH Caernavon Station from WC2)... but oh yeah, I remember the frigate... :)

Now, I'm confused here, with regards to spelling.

Isn't it Caernarvon Station in the Gwynedd System, and a Caernavon-class frigate?

Actually, assuming the name comes from the UK county, BOTH would be CAERNARVON.

OOOOOOOOOOH!! LOAF made a mistake then!!! La preuve:

Bad LOAF, baaaaad... ;);)

That's true, I could correct myself...

But I'm sure you'll find that I make dozens of spelling mistakes every day. :)

Caernarvon is the space station, Caernaven is the frigate.

Tha makes more sense! Kinda helps when ya spell stuff right!:P (Don't worry I mispell stuff all the time!)

Perhaps it wasn't named after anything from the UK. Perhaps it was a Carnarvon class frigate, named after a town in central Western Australia :)

When pronounced it would sound exactly the same :)

Considering that it's in the Gwynnedd System, we can be sure it's named after the Welsh Caernarvon - but not to worry, I've seen Caernarvon spelled in all sorts of ways on maps :).

(To note: Caernarvon would not sound the same as Carnarvon - the "ae" sounds a lot different than an "a")
